1. Who we are

Clarifea provides a psychological and psychoeducational reflection tool that helps you explore difficult life decisions through structured future simulations. 2. The data we collect

We deliberately do not ask for your name, phone number, postal address, gender, age or date of birth. We collect:

Account data: your email address, a securely hashed password (only if you sign up with email/password), your chosen language, and your subscription plan.
Dilemma content: the situations, options and context you choose to enter, and the simulations we generate from them. This can be sensitive, so we treat it with the highest level of care (see sections 5–7).
Payment data: handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details - only an opaque customer reference and your plan status.
Minimal technical data: short-lived security and rate-limiting information (e.g. a truncated IP address kept briefly). We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell your data.

3. Why we process it, and our legal bases (GDPR Art. 6 & 9)

To provide your account and the service - performance of our contract with you.
To store and analyse your dilemma content - your explicit consent, because this content may reveal special-category information. You can withdraw consent at any time.
To send your content to our AI processing provider to generate simulations - performance of contract and your explicit consent.
To process payments - contract and legal obligation.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse - our legitimate interests.
Optional analytics or product emails - only with your separate consent.

4. How long we keep it

Privacy-by-default. Dilemma content has a short default retention and is then automatically deleted. You can choose a shorter or longer retention period - or an "analyse and forget" mode that stores nothing - in your privacy settings. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted shortly after you close it. Backups containing deleted data are rotated out on a short cycle.

5. Who we share it with (sub-processors)

We share data only with the service providers we need to operate, each bound by a data-processing agreement. These currently include: an identity/authentication provider, an AI processing provider (to generate simulations), cloud hosting and storage, a payment processor, and transactional email. 6. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the EU/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We aim to store EU/UK user data in EU-based infrastructure.

7. Your rights

You can, at any time:

Access and export your data (account, dilemmas, simulations).
Delete individual dilemmas, or your entire account.
Correct your email, and withdraw any consent you have given.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in the EU/UK), or your regional privacy regulator in the US, Canada or Australia.

8. Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict internal access, and do not allow our team to read your dilemma content. See our Security page for details. Security

9. Children

Clarifea is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
